We can say about Vicks that is an old topical cream remedy used to relieve stuffiness from a cold, relieve headaches, chest and nose congestion. But, did you know that this mentholated cream can be used for more than relieving common colds?
Well, there are some surprising uses of Vicks Vaporub that you probably didn’t know about, such as: healing a bruise faster than usual.
Anyone can bruise his skin easily. For instance, I have small bruises on legs because I often hit myself in sharp objects, such as desk corners. This is not a tragedy, but what do you do when you get yourself a violet-black bruise on a visible part of your body? You can’t call in sick – it’s just a bruise!
Well, I have a suggestion for you that will fade that awful bruise easily and it doesn’t involve foundation!
As I mentioned above, Vicks Vaporub is great in healing bruise faster, especially those black-violet ones. It seems that camphor, menthol, eucalyptus alongside with other herbs is the perfect cure for bruises.
So, apply Vicks as it follows to get rid of bruises in no time!
- Vicks Vaporub
- Some salt
Mix a pinch of salt with Vicks Vaporub and apply it to the bruise. Let it act for 15 minutes, rinse and apply the mixture again. Repeat this process throughout the day to help the discoloration fade faster and speed up healing.
Important: you should know that this remedy works amazing only for fresh bruises. If you apply it after a day or two, this remedy won’t work for you.
